With nearly 5,000 volumes and numerous brochures, the SHAA library contains books on history in general, but more specifically on Savoie and mainly on Tarentaise.

The books come from purchases we make each year, exchanges between various historical societies in Savoie, Isère and Val d’Aoste, but also from donations.

The Gabelle de 1561 en Tarentaise by André Plassiard is available in digital format (and in french only).

Our library is currently being indexed on the CAtalogue commun des Sociétés Savantes de Savoie : CASSS. A user guide in french can be found here.
